Man City Smash Liverpool
Manchester City ended their 18-year losing streak at Anfield with a brutal 4-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday, 7 February.
The home-side’s title race is officially over – as they are now 10 points behind City, and reside in fourth spot on the table of the English Premier League.
Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, contributed two of City’s goals – the Brazilian gifted the ball to City’s midfielder, Phil Foden, who passed it to Ilkay Gundogan and grabbed his second goal.
Seconds later, Becker passed the ball again straight to an opponent, granting Raheem Sterling an opportunity to make it 3-1.
Foden then hammered the final nail into Liverpool’ coffin with his brilliant fourth goal.
This Liverpool’s fall from gGrace made them the first reigning top-flight champions to lose three successive home league games since Chelsea in 1956.
